Very few bands can match the talents of Within Temptation, After Forever, and Nightwish; however, Leaves' Eyes, consisting of members from Norway and Germany, have proved they are on the top of the heap with the previously mentioned veteran Gothic Metal bands.
Liv Kristine, the ex-siren from Theatre of Tragedy, delivers the good and then some with Leaves' Eyes. In fact, these works represent her best vocals to date. All of these works are nothing short of incredible. Leaves' Eyes also consists of members from Atrocity, which is an outstanding Metal band itself. The album 'Vinland Saga' is probably one of the top five Gothic Metal albums ever produced. If you think Evanescence is a great Gothic Metal band, then you best check out this band; you'll change your opinion in a hurry.
